Agropro organic hemp seed oil is mechanically at low temperature pressed virgin oil, extracted only from selected certified organic FINOLA hemp variety seeds, unfiltered. The oil is extracted from the seeds with the germination of not less than 85%. It is produced in Lithuania, from grown in the EU certified organic seeds, without any use of herbicides, pesticides, and mineral fertilizers. Hemp oil does not contain any preservatives, colours and other food additives, GMOs, gluten-free.
Nutrition and health claims made on organic hemp seed oil (according to (EC) No. 1924/2006 and (EU) 432/2012):
1. Sugar-free, High in vitamin D, Source of vitamin E, High in omega-3 fatty acids, High in polyunsaturated fat, High in unsaturated fat.
2. Alpha-linolenic acid / Linoleic acid / Replacing saturated fats with unsaturated fats in the diet contributes to the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels [The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of: 2 g of alpha-linolenic acid / 10 g of linoleic acid; Monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids are unsaturated fats].
3. Vitamin D contributes to normal absorption/utilisation of calcium and phosphorus, normal blood calcium levels, the normal function of the immune system, the maintenance of normal bones, muscle function and normal teeth and it has a role in the process of cell division.
4. Vitamin E contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.
It can be used as a salad dressing, it is ideal for the production of finger foods and spreads; it can be used as flavor to a variety of dishes, soups or even fruit juice.
Hemp seed oil should be stored away from light and heat. Keep in refrigerator after opening and consume within 30 days. It is not heat-treated. Not used for frying.
Oil density is 0.9224 g / ml, moisture is 0.03%, saponification value is 189 – 194, iodine values is 160 g J2/100 g.
