Fatty acids that are found in hemp help to prevent stroke and heart attack
Based on the statistical information of “Hygiene institute” record, 1700 people die because of circulatory system illnesses over the period of one month in Lithuania. That is more than a half of all death cases recorded. Myocardial infarction kills around 90 people and stroke – 250. The numbers show how necessary it is to take care of the heart and circulatory system. The balance of Omega-6 and Omega-3 fatty acids in the body is crucial for a normal heart activity. And, as it turns out our daily diet unbalances the ratio of these acids. We get too much Omega-6, but too little of our daily food has Omega-3. Ratio between these two fatty acids is often 10:1-20:1 in some food products, when the ideal ratio is 2:1-5:1.
How can you regulate this ratio? You should eat more products that have a balanced ratio of the fatty acids. Products that are made out of hemp seed have a ratio of 3:1. Overall the amount of these fatty acids in hemp seeds is few times greater than it is in the fish. Also the ratio may be balanced by eating nuts, avocados and vegetable oils.
